What is MACE?

Mid-Atlantic Convention Expo, (MACE) is the largest gaming convention in the Carolinas. Originally called ROC 96.5, MACE was created after the parent convention ROC of Ages went out of business. It started in High Point and has been held there ever since. But, MACE was not just an idea by Jeff, it developed into the con that it is, by loyal gamers who are still playing at the con today. In 2006, we celebrated our 10th anniversary, proudly bringing the best gaming the Carolinas has to offer in one place.

What is JustUs Productions?

JustUs Productions, the business organization behind MACE and mini-mace, is a company born of a love of a hobby. It is a business owned by Jeff and Karen Smith.

What is mini-mace?

mini-mace (yes, all lower-case), is a small game day event we host at least once a year that we like to hold in an eating establishment that usually serves a buffet. Our goal is to supply the two things gamers like the most - good gaming and good food.

Thanks for everything, we had a great time at MACE this year, so much in fact that we plan on promoting next year's event extensively and starting to plan our trip for next year.

We are in the process of sending out holiday cards, so if you would be kind enough to give me a mailing address for JustusProductions, you can be sure to get one.

Thanks again,
Mike Roselli

Thank you so much for a wonderful con. This was my first and we both (Ryan and I) had the time of our lives. It was a breath of fresh air to see so many other North Carolinians that have the same intrests. Once again, it was a wonderful time and thanks again.

The RTT was a blast. Thank you for adding so many Warhammer events.

Hello Ron,

Just wanted to say "thanks" once more. I had a great time at MACE and really am impressed with the care you guys take to run a con of this caliber. There's so many aspects that impressed me - from the catering and the snack cart, to the huge schedule boards and sign-up books, I don't think there's more you can do to make this a better experience. The location is great (very close to the airport) and the hotel is top-notch.

I definately plan on being there next year. It's a shame it's so far off! The only thing I can complain about is that my flight home was delayed - but that's Newark Airport for ya! Got home at 1am instead of 11pm...

WEGS seemed to go over very well with everyone who jumped on board. I got a lot of positive feedback from the gamers. This was definately a great way for me to introduce the game to the "south". It's the farthest south I've taken the game - and it was a blast! I joke that my "business plan" is to introduce WEGS to the 13 colonies first. Now I just have to find cons in SC and GA. If you can recommend some, let me know!

Have a great Thanksgiving with your family!

Thanks for a great con!!!

Subject: Schweig Thanks for MACE

Dear Ron:

I wanted to drop you a line to thank you for all the hard work to make MACE a success. My wife and I had a fantastic time, and both noted how extremely friendly, genuine, and fun all the congoers were. All three of my scheduled games ran. Our Saturday night Pulp Egypt
session was the highlight of the weekend, with some of the best, consistent roleplaying performances I've seen at a convention gaming table.

Thanks for inviting us to MACE this year, and for whatever influence you used in helping to get us a complimentary hotel room through the convention. Your hospitality helps ensure our continued involvement in future MACE events.

Many thanks,
Peter
